Is there and NHLe for save percentage? If there was, there's no way Wolf would be anywhere near as low Markstrom/Vladar, even accounting for the transition from the NHL to the AHL.

This stat would likely be even less reliable than the NHLe, but it could at least be a factor in decision-making.

The Flames have the 6th best expected goals against in the league. Their defensive metrics are actually great across the board. The Flames have the 9th lowest high danger shots against. This is a team in which a decent goalie can perform. They would not be hanging Wolf out to dry.

I don't know why people are saying that playing Wolf would ruin his confidence. I disagree with the importance of the premise in the first place. But even if that mattered, there are overwhelming reasons to believe that Wolf would actually succeed in the NHL while heavily outperforming Vladar and especially Markstrom.
