The Flames have lots of players that would be attractive as depth for playoff teams. Players don’t have to be on expiring contracts to be moved at the deadline.
Zadorov would be a perfect depth defenceman for a contending team. He is not part of the Flames core and should be considered available. I think he could fetch a lot and moving him for a first or two seconds would be excellent asset management.
Lewis, Lucic, and Ritchie may also fetch some interest and maybe a late round pick.
For the rest of the team, you listen to any and all offers but you are not actively shopping guys.
