One of the things that I think is important to remember, especially within the context of someone from Calgary, is the nature of the traffic system of the City.

Calgary is fantastic. It has a fairly standard and easy to understand grid system with major arteries in main directions until you get closer to older parts of the City.

Vancouver, like Toronto and Montreal, is a bit of a ####-mix. They just slapped roads together wherever and whenever they needed them, but they then had to dodge around all the crap that was already there in conjunction with the inherent obstacles of the surrounding landscape.

So yeah, drivers in those cities seem to wander around like they're completely lost because they probably are.
