The team knows their goalies are going to allow some ridiculous muffin that a WHL goalie could stop at the worst possible time.

That’s going to cause them to take fewer risks and play a less aggressive game.

Goaltending gives you confidence to play with pace knowing that every mistake isn’t going to end up in your net.

Without that, you’re lost.

That's possible but doesn't that speak to the lack of mental toughness/resilience of this skater group, as a whole? You know, just go out and play your game.
