Sorry to pile on a bit.
But to add to my previous comment, it's almost like two different genres of film. Every fiction film is going to be unrealistic to some degree. The amount of realism often defines the genre film and/or the audience of the film.
No I do not want my superhero movies to be 100% realistic. Do I want to watch a movie about a 14 year old who goes to school and plays with their friends but still somehow also has the ability to design laser weapons and portals in their room? No thanks. Maybe a ten year old might? But then a 10 year old probably doesn't want to watch a movie with significant character development, dialogue, and philosophical/scientific musings.
That's a major problem with Marvel. They are trying to appeal to too wide of an audience. That's been a major problem with superhero franchises from the get go. Batman Forever and Batman and Robin stunk because they wanted to make the movies more family friends while still appealing to the Batman fans. They ended up doing a horrible job at both. The MCU is falling into that same trap.
