It's too incongruous to be true. The dude is a billionaire that has built or revived multiple larger businesses. I have a hard time believing he would cheap out on coach contracts during this team's last window, only to turn around and hand out big dollar contracts to old guys.

What a weird team the 22/23 Flames are.

I think a youth movement surrounding the big contracts we can't get rid of is the best way to create another window. Develop the young players to fill the holes - to develop them you need to be playing them.

I know they probably won't, but I hope they sell.
I think/hope you’re right on some young guys being added to the mix for next year.

I’m really not too sure what to expect though. Do they run back, basically, the same team next year and chalk this up to a team that just didn’t jell? Is there bounce back potential, similar to the Jets?

What I hope happens is that they change their approach and get guys locked into extensions this offseason, opposed to letting things go like they did with Gaudreau. You need an answer/commitment from specifically Lindholm this offseason. Preferably before the draft.

As for young guys, I think Pelletier here full time and hopefully Coronato.
