Now he is stuck with untradable big dollar contracts and an extended coach whose style doesn't seem to match the roster Edwards allegedly oversaw the construction of... it's weird what decisions he cheaps-out on and which ones he gets ripped off on.
It's too incongruous to be true. The dude is a billionaire that has built or revived multiple larger businesses. I have a hard time believing he would cheap out on coach contracts during this team's last window, only to turn around and hand out big dollar contracts to old guys.
What a weird team the 22/23 Flames are.
I think a youth movement surrounding the big contracts we can't get rid of is the best way to create another window. Develop the young players to fill the holes - to develop them you need to be playing them.
I know they probably won't, but I hope they sell.
