I actually very much agree with that - pacing has been a bit weird at times. Having the episode conclude with Joel and Ellie leaving Jackson together would have made sense. Then you could have had a whole episode more like episode 2 that's more suspenseful and action-oriented.
Without talking about details I continue to be a bit concerned that they're not going to be able to do justice to what's left in 3 episodes... especially Episode 8, hopefully that's a long one.
