Again, there are several occurrences where a save would have been huge, but isn't necessarily a game changer in my view given how the team was playing defensively. The only thing saving this season would be a goalie that walks in and quite literally stands on his head for the next 3 months ala Kipper in 03/04.
I think too many fans are still stuck on the better goaltending (it will take league leading goaltending) would have this team contending for the division train, when in reality, something is just horribly off with this group. When a team finds ways to lose so many close games, it is a tell tale sign that it's no one player or position causing the problem....it's just a really poor team.
A timely goal, just as much as a timely save would turn so many of these games around. But neither is ever there in 2022/2023. I know I'm glad I'm not in charge of righting this ship, because it is looking like a complete mess to try and sort out and correct for next season.
