Will Smith's I Am Legend is a mashup of the book and The Omega Man movie which is based on the I Am Legend book but differs greatly. The ending definitely sucked in the Will Smith version.
There is also The Last Man on Earth but Matheson distanced himself from that as he didn't care for the outcome even though he was the screenwriter.
