I might not have worded it properly but in Sutter's eye, he was not going to be demoted and go back to coaching. I still think him leaving/being quietly fired was more him than ownership.
What drives me nuts is that he than went to LA a short while later and had incredible, short term success. We had him in the organization and instead of the team coming to an arrangement for him to go back to coaching, with a lighter hand, we let him go.
LA got the Sutter and the success and now we are doomed to be left with the garbage leftovers and the mess again. Drives me nut's
