Frolik was arguably the best UFA contract that Tre had ever given out. The guy did nothing but show up to camp in the best shape of anybody and played hard almost every night.
Did Huberdeau really just go from an all-star to a pumpkin in one summer? I'm not going to defend his play, but there's clearly something going on with the relationship with Sutter. Walsh says this stuff when the coaches are playing mind games.

Was Peters playing mind games? Or by that point, was frolik a fringe NHL player? Given that he couldn't stick with Habs, sabres or st Louis...I'd suspect he just wasn't a good enough player towards the end of that contract. But Walsh carries his water all the same...
What is Hubys issue? He doesn't like the vibe? He doesn't like his minutes? He doesn't like who he's playing with? He doesn't like the system? He's not playing in overtime? He's not playing in key moments of the game?
This comes across to me as a player who is looking for someone else to blame and is getting Walsh to carry his water. It is Frolik 2.0, but not in a good way.
Everyone who watches the player can see how bad he's been regardless of who his linemates are. He generates very little, isn't a high-end two-way forward, and isn't making his teammates better. I dont see a guy that's really contributing much at all and is under producing most of the other top-9 forwards most nights.
