I do believe the Eagles benefitted from an easy schedule and an injury to Purdy. Without key injuries to the 9ers and Bengals I think they would have been the 2 teams meeting in the SB.

I think we have to remember that the condition of the field played a major role as neither team was able to generate a pass rush and that really hurt the Eagles. Also when Andy Reid is on his game calling plays, there's no defense in the history of the NFL that can stop his offense. All they did was lead the NFL in offense without a true number one WR or RB. If he and Mahomes are on their game, the other team really doesn't stand much of a chance regardless of their talent level.
