Every team can say this though. I'm sure the Panthers think they would've made several long playoff runs if they hadn't gotten 4.5 years of garbage Bob. Or Ottawa / Colombus thinking they'd be in the playoff hunt only to have several young guys regress or not take the next step and find themselves at the bottom again.
Doesn't excuse Sutter using him though.
