But seriously, I think the team has really been horrible with the gifts and grade A’s this year
I don’t like his rebound control or post save recovery far too often. But I didn’t like it last year. Mentioned it a couple of times but everyone kept shouting about his Vezina nom
He is an average to slightly above average goalie, imo. Was never worth the contract. Good for him
Having said that….
They need to cut down on grade A’s in the first two shots. Breakaway for Tkachuk is inexcusable
The two late goals yesterday
- rebound batted out of mid air - rebounds are as available to defenders as to offense, and that was great hand eye
- a perfect one timer up high. Great puck movement and not a reasonably stoppable shot, based on placement
I absolutely detest the “well let’s count the shots and decide he just needs to make a save”. #### off with that nonsense.
