The point is whether the Flames performance YTD can be explained by injuries. IMO it can not and trotting out Kylington is kind of weak sauce.

He was 4th in TOI at even strength and 3rd on the PP. He played less games than most of the other guys, so when you look at TOI/GP he was 4th.
There is little doubt that he has been the best fit with Tanev, who would not be getting 5/6 minutes even strength, so I think he’d probably maintain his spot in the top 4.
Is anyone trying to explain away all of the Flames problems with injuries? I don’t think so. Not what I’m seeing at least.
