People are young off about Huberdeau but what Sutter has them doing has really neutered what the guy can bring to the table. You have an elite playmaker playing in a system that preaches lots of long distance low danger shots. That is why we can get 35-40 shots on goal and can't score. The goalie sees it the whole way because the strength of this forward group is skill plays in the zone, not traffic in front big boy hockey. Look at last year, almost all our offense came from the 1st line, a line that from the beginning didn't play the Sutter offensive zone system. Those guys kept it in the zone and someone would make themselves available in the high danger slot. That is how this team is built, two of those guys bolted this year and I think geography is not the only reason why. The system doesn't work, it can't work with this group. I like D Sutter, I think he is a very good coach but I don't think he can adapt his style to match the strengths of a roster. He is not the right guy for this team, we need a coach that preaches to the strength of this group which is skill based, not heavy screening hockey.
If the team is built to suit them and the system is not, any is basically every player (including Kadri) doing well offensively and only one of them not?

If the system doesn’t suit the team, shouldn’t the forward group be struggling as a whole instead of almost all of them being on pace for career years?
