I’d still be opposed to making it an expectation, yes. Am I opposed to an employee voluntarily doing some work while on a sick day? Absolutely not, but that option has generally always been available for anyone with the ability to work from home.

Sure, that’s the only reason employers are reluctant to give unlimited sick days.
