Calories are not calories. Different foods have different nutritional calories and effects on the body.
OP: I don't know any professionals personally but perhaps you can expand on what you are trying to achieve? Eat healthier, cook more healthy meals at home, weight loss?
I have a pretty decent knowledge on healthy foods, cooking, ways to shop smart/what to look for etc. Sometimes it's not that hard to eat a lot healthier with some very low level work and it can be little, easy things outside of "eat more veggies"
