To me Huberdeau is taking the task of playings Sutter's system very personally. He's trying so hard out there, his defensive metrics after the first three months were near the top of the league. Toffoli, Dube, Backlund, Andersson, Coleman, and Lindholm are not playing their first seasons under Sutter.
He's doing everything he can to be a "Sutter" player and his offensive stats are struggling big time because of it. I think we'll eventually see a shift where he starts to break out offensively, gets back to an 80-100 point player and doesn't look back. I follow him very closely.
