YouTube has gotten REALLY heavy on the ads. I'd stop paying for it, but it's free.
I tried YouTube Premium for a bit and it was pretty good, but I don't know if I want to spend $23 a month on it.
The challenge with YouTube ad-blocking is you can really only do it on a computer. YouTube's ads are served through the same CDNs that serve their videos, so a PiHole or Adblock DNS won't help you when watching YouTube through a native app on a TV, STB, or media player.
