We got to meet and chat with Gustavo at the Last of Us - One Night Live. He was really nice and you could tell he was happy to be there to perform and talk to folks.
I'll post the feed of the event with the live soundtrack and scene acting below but it absolutely has massive spoilers for the entire game and ending. As well as Annie Wersching performing.
They did turn off the stream to have their "special edition" ending of the game just for the people in attendance so that is cut off though.

In case anyone wanted to know what it looked like for them to try to act a scene for the game, here (this wasn't in the show but it was part of the "alternate" Bill story so it won't be).

For the first game, the technology wasn't there yet to add small enough cameras recording the actors faces but they do now (for the Last of Us Part 2 and movies all the time now). But they did/do have animators go back and do animation/cleanup passes on that performance back in certainly.
