one of my favorite random flames seasons was 84-85. not the best Flames team by any stretch, and of course a different era and yada yada but they had a strange amount of depth no matter how you looked at it
they had 15 guys score 10 +, also Macoun with 9, Riser had 7 in 15 games, Cavallini 6 in 27, Otto - we didn't even know who he was then- had 4 in 17
they had lots of injuries , but basically any guy that played was on a 16-20 goal pace, they 'only' had 8 20 goal scorers but in addition to the guys I list above Lanny had 19 in 43, Tambellini (!) 19 in 47 , Bozek 13 in 54, Eaves 14 in 46, MacInnis 14 in 67
their 363 goals was 2nd in the NHL (behind the Oilers) although their leaders Loob and Nilsson were barely top 30 (although within a year Cliff had cashed in much of that depth for 2 other guys in the NHL top 30 scorers Tonelli and Mullen)
