He keeps being touted as some potential star forward, yet he's 28 years old now. His best season was was five years ago with 47 points and +25, that's pretty good. Since then he's put up 4, 24, 32 points, where his plus/minus was -8, -10, -25.
This year he's got 17 points in 43 games and is -13.

Full stop he's the most overrated NHL player ever. I used to think Rick Nash was one of the more overrated players ever but at least he produced offensively. This guy produces like a 3rd liner but people talk about him like he's some coveted power forward when the reality is that in his prime he's been barely better than Milan Lucic over his Flames and Oilers years.
