Yeah, I know that, it is dangerous and its not ideal, but it can be done.
Its just not a 'fix' its a bandaid.
I know, my dad used to do it all the time, he'd often have 4 entirely different tires on his car based on whatever he could find, just because he was stubborn.
You have to drive more carefully, but in a pinch you can do it.
