I was up there a few years ago, took the river boat down the McKenzie to see the sun not set at midnight, as it rolled over into Canada Day. Super cool place. But I guess the winter will be a different experience, as I don't imagine you will be doing the Atlantic swim. I'm not really sure what you will do there for 10 days in the winter, I suspect you will be spending lots of time at the rec centre/ice rink. Maybe some sledding down the town pingo?
Enjoy the stars and norther lights, I'm sure they will be awesome. We didn't see either!
