Sadly I believe the ice road closed a few years ago after a land connection was finally built, driving that was definitely the best experience I had up there.

Check out some Pingos, they're definitely more impressive in the summer but still pretty cool covered in snow

Local food is incredible. Groceries are still insanely expensive up there so most people still eat traditionally and I loved it

Sadly I lost all the pictures I had when I deleted my facebook account years ago, but maybe seeing the convo here will jog some more memories or interesting things to share

Yeah the permanent, year round road opened in 2017 or so, I’m told.
