The City's recycling requirements are pretty lax, they know they are dealing with a population base that ranges from inexperienced to hostile with recycling. The more we are able to sort and separate, the less effort and chemistry is required to finish the job. Also, If more people were putting more effort into separating their items, then that would then put more pressure on producers to make better packaging. That said, i make an effort to remove labels, but I'm not killing myself.
