Similar to the Persian lunar calendar.
The Nisg̱a'a also celebrate the lunar new year, but it doesn't happen for another couple of weeks. They consider the first crescent moon to be the beginning of the lunar new year.
Anyway, those jerseys look nice. Too bad they aren't wearing them for an actual game.
