My brother who's into the target shooting scene explained it well.
In the US the law is written to be a constitutional right, so if I call an uncle in to the police its difficult for them to take his gun.
The Canadian rule is written like a privileged, so if you get a complaint the RCMP can come check it out and take your gun privileges away.
Tyranny...in the same form as driving.
