Salaries by Major at Harvard University
How much money do Harvard University graduates make and which majors earn the most upon graduating? Six years after enrolling, alumni who are working have average earnings of $96,800 per year. After ten years, graduates earn $136,700 on average.
In terms of specific areas of study, the following is a ranking of degree programs by the median first-year starting salaries for Harvard graduates.
The undergraduate degree which initially pays the highest is Computer Science with a median starting salary of $128,900 followed by Statistics paying $126,100 and Applied Mathematics graduates who have a median starting income of $80,500 .
A NHL player makes on average $97K per year signing bonus on ELC, plus $900K (+/-) per year. After 3 years if he is any good he can make up to $8M. I don't think most kids playing hockey at Harvard, being so smart, would think it is good to miss out on at least $6M (minimum) for 6 years of NHL hockey. The ones who do stay come from well off families.
