The tipping prompt comes up everywhere now. Literally everywhere. Is what you described any different than picking up a pizza? Grabbing a bagel? Is it different than a dry cleaning business? What about getting dropped off by a cab, and if so, why? Why do we tip a bar-tender for reaching behind them to grab a beer and hand it to us? Why doesn't the kid at Mcdonalds get a tip if a waitress walks our food to us at a restaurant and gets tipped?

North American tipping culture is stupid. Can't get staff without having people subsidize your wages? Don't care, figure it out yourself. People who contribute to it are encouraging its continued existence.
