I've had a poster in PM condemn me for my "character judgments" and I'm like WTF? You don't even know me outside of some posts on a forum but you think you can call out my character? Some of you take this stuff way too seriously. Nobody really knows anyone here and I think we need to be a little careful about throwing words around that may or may not be true.
I'm a teacher in a rural Alberta town. Curriculum changes are a hot topic issue, but this isn't a change. A change would be teaching Filipino language instead of English. This is about inclusion. I highly doubt that, if asked, Danielle Smith would be upset with Filipino language inclusion in the curriculum. It's hard to fathom that anyone with a rational brain (on either side of the political spectrum) would have an issue with it. Equating it to 'curriculum changes' is disingenuous.

I'm sorry, but I take people posting 'seemingly racist' stuff seriously. I wholeheartedly disagree with ignoring stuff like this in our society and think that instead it needs to have the light shined on it to show how ridiculous, small-minded and stupid it is.

Just my opinion. I respect but disagree with yours.
