As far as Canada goes, we are middle of the road when it comes to gun violence. Nowhere near the level of the U.S., but still higher than most other developed Western countries. Part of that is the easier access to illegal guns from the U.S., as well as a very similar cultural environment. Our less dense population and more restrictive laws are probably the only thing that separates us from them. Things are getting worse here in some areas though.
