IMO on this "issue" (if it is one?) is that both Moe and Trudeau look pretty stupid over the whole thing.

It's not my side, it's my observation. Moe has been firmly against any environmental measures for everything. Again, this was a PR thing. Would you invite someone who treats you like crap constantly? Moe has shown no willingness to work with the feds on anything. Does Trudeau owe it to him?

It seemed like a glorious opportunity to improve the Saskatchewan government’s virtually non-existent relationship with the federal government … or at the very least, to have a direct dialogue to air differences face to face.


After all, Premier Scott Moe did have a lot to say about the need for more federal health and social transfers as he hosted other Western provincial and territorial leaders Friday.

Yet it’s hard to see Moe’s choice not to be in Saskatoon while Trudeau was there as anything other than a decision driven strictly by politics.

It seems more likely this is a little harmless retribution. Sorry Scotty, if you don't like the game, don't start it.
