I think the debate is around style of transition. Mainly impact to workers and economy.
Its a fair conversation without name calling or condescension. Yet it feels like the Federal government has a knack to bucket people in boxes. You know certain “political classes” that are just so backwards.
The stakes are a litle more than “just whining”, and given you were around in 2014 I am wondering if you were privy to the problems a sudden downturn caused here in Calgary? Domestic abuse, drug abuse, homelessness, suicide?
Its not something you wave off. Its very real.
So back to the Feds, I would think they would want to sit down and plan this out with stakeholders. Wouldn’t they? Or are we just trusting this government that its all good? Do I really need to list out credibility issues, or is that just whining?

They did, and are. Just because Smith is bleating on and on about not being consulted, doesn't mean the UCP before her didn't speak with them. In fact, given how wrong she is about everything, you can usually assume the opposite of what she is saying is true.
