I dont have too many frustrations as a Flames fan. I dont like watching soft teams and we had one for nearly a decade until the last few years.
You have to commend the organization, unlike some they always try to field a competitive team and spend the the cap nearly every year. (to some that could be a frustration but high prospects and picks are never a for sure thing)
I honestly dont mind if they lose, I just want to see the effort and the 'hate' of losing. I like teams that stand up for each other, its honestly like going to war on a much less significant scale.
If there was one frustration I have it would be asset management of former star players. I'm sure a lot of fans have this same frustration. I cant talk about the 80's as it was before my time but there is plenty of examples in the organizations history of terrible asset management. (Still think Mullen for a 2nd quite possibly is the worst trade in flames history, but its got competition for sure). That year Burke held onto Cammalleri when we were not making the playoffs and he was not going to re-sign was baffling also.
