I would place big bucks on markstrom fading in his career trajectory from here though. he does not strike me as someone that has a career type resurgence in him at this point
and we keep sending him out there, only to be met with disappointment
don't think it implies "i'm smarter than a cup winning coach" to say, based on the body of work, that we should stop playing that guy so much
I just don't think the path of playing him more out of faith has a happy ending. the gaffes just continue to persist, and the numbers speak for themselves
I'll eat crow if wrong but I really don't think I am
he can't seem to go more than a couple periods without a small implosion
he's a Flame and you still wish success on the guy, but let's just call it intellectual honesty half way into this season
