What I could see happening down the road, is the flames adding salary to get them to the cap, and then put him on LTIR to be able to use his salary for something else. The difference could be as adding a 4M cap hit player now or 6M cap player at the deadline.

What I am saying is that they have banked some, so now go spend it, plus more, and put him on LTIR.
