If I was an Oiler fan I would be deeply worried about that.

Both he and Leon are on the Yzerman trajectory where he was putting up a lot of points but not playing a team game. Yzerman had the advantage of a HOF coach to push him in the right direction. It seems every Oilers head coach just defers to overplaying them and letting them focus strictly on offense. It hasn't worked for any of them and it will probably never work the way they do things.
Stauffer is already indicating that Draisaitl may be gone in two years as he's connected the dots where Kopitar's contract expires exactly the same time Leon's does and Draisaitl's agency (Octagon) has placed a lot of their clients in LA over the years. This actually sounds very, very probable actually and Stauffer gets all his information from inside the Oilers organization so it seems the Oilers feel this may happen.
