Meanwhile, Nardwuar's research included interviewing your family, your classmates from junior high, your 8th grade babysitter, then he tracked down and found the exact copy of the first 8 track you ever bought in the spring of 1986, that you had lent to a friend at summer camp and never got back. An 8 track you only bought because you had a crush on the girl in math class who said she liked that band. And he’s asking if you remember the girl’s name and gifting you back that 8 track you gave away. Meanwhile the artist is crying and calling his mom in tears because this interview changed his life.

Sean Evans is better than Nardwuar simply because he isn't relying on some insufferable schtick. Nardwuar's voice is irritating, his look is irritating, his interview style of shoving the mic into a person's face is irritating. I can't make it more than a minute into any of his videos because his speaking "style" is like nails on a chalkboard
