Also the entire roster is under performing, that's on coaching. They've lost a lot of their offensive mojo under Maurice. The defense isn't that much worse without Weegar although they do miss his minute munching capabilities.

Its pretty tough to say that
Huberdeau had 30 goals, 115 points and was a plus 35 for them last season
Tkachuk is a +5...he will get more goals but likely less points
There is no way you can tell me Tkachuk is an upgrade on what Huberdeau/Weegar did for them last season...did you even watch them last year? Huberdeau was their leading scorer by a mile.
They will probably be 30 points worse this season...its not all the coach.
Huberdeau set an all time assists record there last year for a LW...ALL TIME! He had more primary assists than McDavid, I think you are downplaying how good he was there based on his year in Calgary thus far.
