We dug two pits: one in the alpine that sluffed off some small storm slabs and another at treeline that was slow to react but failed suddenly. In other words, the snowpack is unlikely to avalanche from a skier's weight but if you're unlucky enough to trigger something it could go big. I know a lot of the folks in this thread are resort skiers, but just a reminder to stay safe out there!
