Yeah, that was poorly worded, sorry. It's more I'm thinking more that instead of growing YVR-Hawaii capacity the growth will all be in Calgary. Eg, we got a Kona flight this year. That is probably all the capacity they'll add to KOA for the next multiple years, and without it they might have increased frequency/upgauged YVR.
I don't think they'll have a shortage of MAX frames for very long- they're still getting more 737-8s and the new order of 737-10s is scheduled to start arriving next year. There should be plenty of planes to do basically as much YYC-Hawaii as they want - and unless they add some more long-haul, year round destinations a decent chunk of that will be on 787s during the winter.
