I don't know about that. On paper the Flames have one of the deepest blue lines in the league. It's just that Sutter doesn't shelter the bottom pairing like most coaches so the bottom pairing gets exposed at times. I've just got tired of attention to the defense this team has received over the years given the lack of a talented wingers in the top 6.
