That's the worst of it for me. They're an entertainment product that isn't very fun to watch or cheer for this season. I don't really blame Treliving for that. He did what was an admirable job of recovering after the most entertaining player of the last decade walked, but the new guys just haven't been much fun and haven't played like top players, and the team has looked a lot like a mediocre bubble team that is all too familiar to long-term fans.
They've been trending up recently, but still not looking like more than a first round exit kind of team, which is just hard to care about when they're also boring and guys who are supposed to be the main attractions aren't that fun to watch. Put that together with the NHL's issues with officiating and the product is sometimes just a bummer. Even Sutter's post-games aren't as fun to watch as they used to be in these circumstances.
