Florida is kind of interesting. The franchise's greatest accomplishments are probably:
- 1996 Finals Run
- 2022 Pres Trophy
- Bure's 59/58 goal seasons (amidst a pretty dead puck)
FLA's next highest goal scoring season is 39 (Barkov/Jokinen). In those 2 years, the 2nd highest scorer in the league had 44 (Nolan) and 54 (Sakic).
Bure is 5th all-time Panther goals despite being 5th in games played.
Luongo and Barkov are locks for FLA's Rushmore...the other 2 slots aren't so clear:
Huberdeau is current leader in games and points, but Barkov will soon pass both (already leads goals).
Nobody really stands out from 1996...maybe Vanbiesbrouck (2nd in goalie gp/wins) or Mellanby (4th in goals, 5th in pts, 9th in gp).
Bure could easily be 4 or 5 in FLA...and maybe similar in VAN, where he is also 5th in goals (37th in gp). Most goals/pts in '94, both reg season and playoffs.
Sedin/Sedin (do you really need 2 identical heads?)
Linden
Naslund? Smyl? Bure? Luongo? McLean? Edler?
It's not inconceivable that both Bure and Luongo are on both FLA and VAN's.
