Gretzky would be on the Kings and Oilers Mt. Rushmore. Bourque would maybe be on both the Bruins and Avs (though I would disagree with that). There's probably others but I'm struggling to come up with them.
So that's why I didn't vote for him.
A Flames D Mt. Rushmore is also fun to think of:
Macinnis, Suter, Gio: Slam dunks.
The 4th is trickier: for me it's Reinhart or Macoun. But you could actually make a pretty good argument for TJ Brodie.
These are fun exercises.

It is interesting to do a cursory pick for other teams
STL...I'm not sure MacInnis actually a lock there:
Federko - most gp and pts
Hull - 527goals, 744gp (more than I would have thought.
MacInnis is 14th with 613gp. Pronger is 16th with 598. Pietrangelo is 5th with 758gp, but the ending was a little sour.
Who is their greatest defenseman? The first two each have a Norris; AP captained them to a cup...would all 3 of them make Rushmore and bump Federko? What about Sutter, Steen, Backes, Tarasenko, Tkachuk, ROR, Binnington, Liut?
COL is interesting, too. Bourque does not get a sniff:
Sakic
Forsberg
Roy
MacKinnon
Makar
Landeskog
Hejduk
Foote
Rantanen
Sakic is a lock, but it's tough to pick 3 of those next 4 (presuming reasonable longevity for Makar)
