Tkachuk hits, fights, has oodles of skill, and I’m not sure I could pick a better net-front player in the league. The knuckle dragging power forward died with the 2004/2005 lock out. The game changed. Iginla and Bertuzzi are probably the two best examples of that. They significantly altered their physique after the lockout to get leaner and faster.

Lucic was a rare breed, and I’d say he and Wilson may be the only two players to effectively play that style of game to any real success in the modern NHL.
I agree with most of what you said... But I don't know that Tkachuk is better than Neely. I think that would be an interesting conversation, and I'm not sure which side I'd land on, but Cam Neely was one of the best goal scorers of all time.
