What’s kind of exciting about the Wranglers team this year is that 6 of the 7 wranglers top scorers are 23 or younger… Matthew Phillips being the only one older at 24.
The Coachella Valley Firebirds, who the Wranglers are battling for top spot of the division, have only one player in their top 7 who is under 23, Ryker Evans, and he is 21. This is a similar trend for another top team in Hershey.
Usually the top teams in the AHL are made up of seasoned veterans in impactful positions. The conclusion I’m going to draw from this is that the Wranglers roster might be made up of younger players who would likely be in the NHL if they were with a different organizations…
